“ We are thrilled to expand the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival to offer Houstonians and tourists three weekends of great entertainment, the best Southern-style cuisine and more family fun than ever before,” said festival producer and Spring Preservation League President Seth Sanders. “This festival is part of the heritage and culture of our community and we felt that the time was right to expand operations. The revenue generated by the festival allows the Spring Preservation League to make improvements to Old Town Spring as well as support the numerous local businesses in our community.

The 2010 festival will partner for a second year with Texas singer-songwriter and native son Hayes Carll, a long time fixture at the Texas Crawfish & Music festival, and donate a portion of ticket sales on Saturday, April 10th to the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber Of Commerce Economic Development Fund, a non-profit organization working to rebuild youth baseball facilities which were damaged during Hurricane Ike, as well as develop community outreach programs in Bolivar.

“It’s great to partner once again with the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival, which has supported my music and career for years, as well as so many local and up-and-coming artists, on fundraising efforts that contribute to rebuilding and civic improvements in surrounding communities. At the end of the day, it’s really all about helping your neighbors,” said Hayes Carll.

In addition to the non-stop entertainment, the 2010 festival boasts one of the area’s largest carnivals featuring a variety of rides for adults and children, midway games and activities, along with interactive exhibits, educational booths and the best Southern Louisiana food with more the 70 tons of crawfish and the spiciest fixings in the land served over the nine day event!

The 24th annual festival benefits the Spring Preservation League, a non-profit foundation which is dedicated to the preservation and beautification of Old Town Spring, community projects and maintains contributions to a variety of service organizations.
