Jack Nelson

Born on the Corpus Christi Bay with roots in the deserts of West Texas and the Piney Woods of East Texas, Jack Nelson is an up-and-coming Texas Country artist to keep an eye on. Growing up as a rancher and a teacher’s son really connects him to the working class of America.

A proud Navy veteran of four and a half years, Nelson has seen the world and already faced a roller coaster of emotions that life can throw your way. “That’s what Country music is all about!” says Nelson. He can relate to falling in and out of love with the best of them, and you can feel it in the lyrics that his unique-sounding voice projects.

He’s a God-fearing, single, working dad with big dreams and aspirations.

Nelson was handed his first guitar at the age of four years old and has been making music ever since. Whether it was playing alongside his father during practices for his father’s tejano band as a child, along side his brother (2014 TMA Male Vocalist of the year award winner, and Texas Music Chart Topper Cameran Nelson), or playing music festivals in his hard rock band in high school, or playing praise and worship music at church every Wednesday night in for the youth group. Nelson has always appreciated all types of music, and his history has made him a very diverse musician.

Nelson took a break from his life and music in order to serve our country by joining the United States Navy, and after four and a half years, he decided it was time to return home, go to college, and start making music again. Nelson began playing one man acoustic shows in the local area, and he has been able to spend a considerable amount of time in the top spot of the local reverb country charts. However, feeling compelled to perform on a larger platform, Nelson has carefully assembled a group of local musicians in an effort to bring his brand of Texas Country to the scene, and he has already supported/opened for artists such as Tracy Byrd, Bart Crow, Jason Cassidy, Josh Ward, Jody Booth, Scooter Brown Band, and many more.

The Jack Nelson Band knows that being a band is more than just being good musicians, it also takes a strong bond between each other in order to be successful, and they have just that and more. The Jack Nelson Band is a small but tight brotherhood, consisting of individuals with common interests, goals, and aspirations. They know that together they are band that can appeal and relate to anyone and can guarantee you a good time
